PRAYOJAN 2023 FAQ

 Q1. What is PRAYOJAN?

Answer. PRAYOGAN (Post-PhD: Research, Academia, and IndustrY Opportunities, science Journalism, grAnt writing and Networking) is a flagship event of INYAS (Indian National Young Academy of Science), INSA, New Delhi.  The event is targeted at post-doctoral and early career researchers to provide awareness about career opportunities post-Ph.D. in academic, industrial, academic publishing, and science communication domains. It also aims to give information about national and international post-doc opportunities, workshops on grant writing, and proposal building. 

 Q2. Who can attend PRAYOJAN?

Answer. Final year Ph.D. students, post doctoral researchers and early carrier researcher are eligible to apply for this program. Apart from this if anyone interested he/she can join the program.

3. Is it online or offline?

Answer. The program will be organized in online mode.

4. How much is the registration fee? Is it refundable?

Answer.  The Registration fee is Rs.500 only. It is non-refundable

 5. What sessions will be covered in PRAYOJAN?

 Answer. Under PRAYOJAN we will cover following 6 sessions/ themes

  •  National Post-Doc opportunities
  • International Post-Doc opportunities
  • Experience Sharing by Fellowship Recipients
  • Career Opportunities in Academia and Industries
  • Career Opportunities in Academic Publishing and Science Communication
  • Grant Writing and CV Building

 

 6. How the participants will receive the link to join sessions online?

Answer. A link of the online event will be shared by INYAS office 2 days before the event through email.

 

7. Will the participants receive recorded sessions or speaker presentations?

Answer. No; no recorded session/speaker’s presentation will be shared with the participants. Participants are encouraged to attend the session live and interact with the speakers.

 

8. Can I share the zoom link of the sessions with my friends/ colleagues/ faculties?

Answer. No; no one is allowed to share the zoom link of the session with others.

 

9. Will the participants receive the certificate of participation?

Answer. Yes; each participants will receive a certificate of participation. But it will dependent on the attendance of the participants during the sessions

 

10. Is attendance mandatory to receive the participation certificate?

Answer. Yes; a participant over 80-100% attendance will receive a participation certificate

 

11. Whom to contact for registration-related queries?

12. What is the feedback form to be filled out to receive the participation certificate?

Answer. Yes, a feedback form is mandatory to be filled to receive the participation certificate.

 

Q13.   What is the deadline for registration?

Answer. The deadline for registration is 10th April 2023.

 

Q14: Can we pay by UPI-Linked methods?

Arun Kumar Jugran

Dr. Arun Jugran is working as a Scientist-D in Garhwal Regional Centre of G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment, India, an autonomous institute of Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEF& CC), New Delhi, India. Dr. Jugran has completed his Ph. D in Plant Biotechnology from GBPNIHE & Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. He has over 17 years of research experience and has 65 publications in his credit in national and international Journal of repute. He is the recipient of U-COST Young Scientist, CSIR-SRF and DST young Scientist Awards (India). In year 2022 he was selected as a Member of INYAS, India. Presently Dr. Jugran is working on the mechanism of biochemical and molecular variations, marker traits association and DNA barcoding of Himalayan plants. He is also actively engaged in science promotion activity of GBPNIHE & INYAS.
