First official collaborative outcome between INYAS and Intetnational Science Council.

INYAS organized a working group online meeting on Peer-Reviewed Preprints: Benefits and Limitations for Young Indian Researchers in collaboration with DST-CPR, Bengaluru, and International Science Council on June 9. More than 50 INYAS members and a few non-INYAS guests actively participated in the event by sharing their thoughts, filling out a survey, and writing their valuable suggestions. Ludo Waltman, Professor and Deputy Director of Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS), Leiden University, delivered a lecture on “Preprinting and Preprint Peer Review- An opportunity to reshape scholarly publishing“. From India, Sridhar Gutam, Senior Scientist of ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore, delivered a lecture on “The current status of preprint usage in India“. The comprehensive report is now online as a blog published by International Science Council.
