The Indian National Young Academy of Science (INYAS) announced its National Competition for Research Excellence 2024 across five research categories. The submission deadline was 30 August 2024, at 11:59 PM.

- Natural Nanofibers with Societal Impact (sponsored by Cellulose Lab, IIT Hyderabad)
- Carbon Materials (sponsored by Carbon Laboratory, IIT Hyderabad)
- Electrochemistry (sponsored by Metrohm India Pvt. Ltd.)
- Sir John Mason Outstanding Thesis for Interdisciplinary Research (sponsored by Mr. Sivaraman, Karaikudi)
- Prof. Leland Clark Best Thesis in Biosensors (sponsored by Dr. A. Subbiah, Karaikudi)
Eligibility
Applicants must be Ph.D. graduates or those who submitted/defended their theses by 31 December 2023, from Indian institutions. Candidates needed at least two papers in peer-reviewed national or international journals (Scopus/Web of Science indexed) as first author.
Guidelines
- Maximum 2 category applications per candidate
- Previous applicants ineligible
- One submission per category only
- Required documents: abstract (maximum 500 words), publication soft copies, proof of eligibility, and the guide's reference letter if shortlisted
Each award provided INR 10,000 and a certificate.
